National Startup Grant Opportunities Available Year Round

The Australian Government provides ample options for startups with innovative ideas and technologies, however actually locating and applying for these opportunities can be a laborious task. At Allied Legal we understand the grant application process because we work with startups in all stages of development.

We also understand that receiving adequate support for your startup, can be a game changer. That is why we have complied a list of Government startup grants who accept applications all year round:

Accelerating Commercialisation  

If you want expert advice and funding on how to take your innovation to market, try applying for the Accelerating Commercialisation Grant. Accelerating Commercialisation or Commercialisation Australia assists startups, small businesses, researchers and entrepreneurs to commercialise their new technology. The program is a key offering under the Entrepreneurs’ Programme and gives early-stage startups access to a network of advisors and industry experts. The grant also provides up to $500,000 of matched funding for researchers, or up to $1 million of matched project funding for all other eligible applicants. If you are an Australian startup you will be able to submit an application at any time.  

CSIRO Kick-Start 

Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Kick-Start program matches funding for founders seeking to scale their startup. The grant enables Australian startups to undertake research to test a novel product, or to develop or improve an offering. Through the scheme Australian startups are eligible for between $10,000 and $50,000 in funding under a key few provisions.

Incubator Support 

If your incubator is seeking to support Australian startups looking to move into an international market, try the Incubator Support Grant. The program assists new and existing incubators to scale startups, particularly Australian startups whose founders are from refugee and migrant backgrounds, or startups who have a regional focus. Eligible incubators can receive from $13,000 to $250,000 in funding for up to two years.
